In emulation of the impactful installation in Venice, distinguished by its nocturnal x-ray luminosity, a series of black and white x-rays has been conceived. Drawing inspiration from the conventional x-ray boxes ubiquitous in medical centers, this artistic endeavor delves into the multifaceted role of X-rays.

The artist engages profoundly with the concept that X-rays, a fundamental instrument in paleontological and medical examinations, hold the capacity to illuminate not only the historical remains of dinosaurs and Homo sapiens but also to anticipate future inquiries within this thematic context.

The black iteration, composed of polyester, a steel frame, and plexiglass housing x-ray prints, intimately reveals the cranial and cerebral structures of the artist. A poignant narrative unfolds, as a serendipitous discovery of a 2cm cyst in the artist's brain, during the acquisition of a CT scan for a 3D print of the artists skull, intertwines with themes of personal vulnerability and mortality. Subsequent medical evaluations allayed concerns regarding the benign nature of the cyst, yet the profound contemplation of mortality aligns seamlessly with the overarching conceptual framework of this artistic venture.

Conversely, the counterpart, crafted from white epoxy, a steel frame, and embellished with LED lights, emanates a subtle blue or white luminescence reminiscent of traditional x-ray coloration. This piece serves as a nuanced exploration of the interplay between life, mortality, and the ethereal quality of illumination within the thematic context of the project.
