ONCE WE RULED THE WORLD - DINOLITION (2024)

Dinolition: Unveiling the future's past.

"Dinolition" unveils a installation, starring a 60,000 kg mechanical crane with a 3,500 kg crusher shaped like a dinosaur's head. Extending to 24m, this crane, designed to mimic a dinosaur skeleton, takes center stage in excavating a monumental human skeleton. This performance is the start of the 'Once We Ruled the World' project. The 10-meter human skeleton, a representation of the human ego, lies metaphorically buried, brought to light by the dinosaur crane.

Appropriately named 'Dinolition,' blending 'dinosaur' and 'demolition,' this performance transcends time, embracing the convergence of the past, present, and future. As the crane unveils colossal human remains, 'the Dinolition performance' transforms into a storytelling device, bridging the gap between eras, prompting reflection on the transient nature of empires.

In the crusher's dino-skull "beak," a spear holds a black flag with the white text message "Once we ruled the world," serving as a poignant reminder of the banners of fallen human empires.

"Dinolition" prompts a journey through time, connecting the reign of dinosaurs to humanity's evolution. Challenging us to consider our own vanity and mortality.
